About these terms

These terms govern your use of the Goodnest platform. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms. Goodnest operates from 228 Queen Street, Auckland CBD, Auckland 1010, New Zealand.

What Goodnest is

Goodnest is a marketplace that connects customers who need home services with workers who provide them. We are not the employer of any worker on our platform. Workers operate independently and are responsible for the quality of their own work.

For customers

• Posting a job is free. You are under no obligation to hire any worker who quotes.
• Payments are processed securely through our platform. Funds are held until you confirm the job is complete.
• You are responsible for providing accurate job descriptions and locations.
• Reviews must be honest and based on your genuine experience with the worker.

For workers

• You are an independent contractor, not a Goodnest employee.
• You are responsible for holding any licenses or qualifications required for your trade in New Zealand.
• You agree to provide honest quotes and deliver work as described.
• Goodnest charges a commission on completed jobs, as outlined at the time of registration.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Post false or misleading job descriptions or reviews
• Use the platform for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to circumvent our payment system
• Harass or abuse other users of the platform

Limitation of liability

Goodnest provides a marketplace platform. We do not guarantee the quality of any worker's services. While we facilitate reviews and secure payments, the contractual relationship for any job is between the customer and the worker. To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Goodnest is not liable for any loss or damage arising from work performed by workers on our platform.

Disputes

If a dispute arises between a customer and a worker, Goodnest will make reasonable efforts to assist in resolution. Our support team can be reached through our contact page.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
